GBC Applicant Agreement
Release of Liability and Information Disclosure Consent
I am confirming for myself (or as an authorized agent on behalf of my client) that the information provided in this application is accurate and complete. I understand that any inaccurate or incomplete information submitted may invalidate my application and result in the withdrawal by George Brown College of an offered seat at any time during my enrolment process.
I am appointing Passage Inc. to submit an application to George Brown College on my behalf. I authorize George Brown College to release information to Passage Inc. regarding my application, ongoing registration, and school related fees, including name, date of birth, email address, phone number, primary address, mailing address, photograph, passport information, information and documents required for visa and study permit application, information and documents required for school admission, enrolment and graduation status, grades, course load and confirmation of full time status, academic standing including good standing, probation, leave of absence, withdrawal, and deferrals, on-campus part-time job, work integrated learning status, application status, and admission decision.
I declare that I have fully and truthfully answered all questions on this form and on my application to George Brown College. I understand that any false or incomplete information submitted in support of my application may invalidate my application and result in the withdrawal by George Brown College of an offered seat at any time during my enrolment. George Brown College Admissions Officers reserve the right to request original documents if there are any doubts or questions with regard to authenticity or legibility of submitted electronic documents.
I understand that if I am studying inside Canada, I am required to have a valid Study Permit to begin study at George Brown College for programs longer than 6 months. George Brown College reserves the right to not process an application and will advise the applicant to apply to a future intake if there is not sufficient time to secure a study permit. If I intend to study English for Academic Purposes (EAP) as a pre-requisite before starting a post-secondary program, I am required to have a study permit for the full duration of my studies.
George Brown does not have the capacity to admit all applicants who meet the minimum
admissions requirements. Programs can close early if international enrolment is already reached, and the program is full. Submission of an application does not guarantee an offer of a place in a program. George Brown assesses admissibility to your first program choice. Your second program choice will only be reviewed if you are not eligible for admission to your first choice.
We prioritize complete applications that include all documents required to make an admission decision. Please review the admission requirements by country to ensure all documents are submitted and your application is complete: https://www.georgebrown.ca/international/futurestudents/admission_requirements.
We receive far more applications than spaces available. As a result, we process international applications on a selective basis. This means that on a program-by-program basis, we may establish admissions processing priorities based on academic criteria of applicants, program capacity, and institutional diversity goals. Ensuring diversity within our international student population is a key priority of the College. We are committed to balancing our international student body so that a wide range of regions and countries is represented. This is essential to ensuring that both our domestic and international students have a truly global experience.
Due to the high volume of applications at this time, we are not able to provide exact processing
times.
